Assistant Director of Operations

 

Specific Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s Degree
● Three to five years experience in fundraising operations including, grant writing and management, prospect research, and communication
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Web-based Fundraising Programs, CRM Database Management or like programs
● Excellent written and oral communication skills
● The ability to relate well in multicultural environments
● Experience planning, organizing and conducting events
● Self starter with the ability to effectively communicate with the Board of Directors, staff, and current and potential volunteers
● Experience in web design is a plus

Responsibilities:
● Prepare and complete grant applications and funding requests
● Complete grant reports and manage grant timelines
● Research funding opportunities and communicate with grant providers
● Maintain donor database and prepare donor history reports as needed
● Assist and prepare information for and communicate with current and prospective Corporate Partners
● Utilize web-based fundraising programs to conduct successful events
● Assist Executive Director and volunteers with planning and carrying out successful fundraising events and activities
● Regularly attend volunteer fairs, visit university classrooms, and assist with any other volunteer recruitment opportunities as well as
child-centered activities and events to recruit Little’s between the ages of 7-16
● Partner with local businesses and service clubs in order to speak to employees and members
about volunteer opportunities
● Facilitate information and orientation sessions for interested volunteers twice per month and by appointment
● Prepare files for volunteers before handing them off to the Enrollment and Match Specialist (run
DMV, background check, enter information into the Matchforce database, etc.) ● Prepare fundraising solicitations
● Assist Executive Director with operations related tasks
● Other duties as assigned
